ISANA NZ Scholarships & Awards

The ISANA NZ Awards celebrate the outstanding contributions by individuals working in New Zealand's international education industry during 2020. The awards also help to define a benchmark of excellence and best practice for the sector. The announcement of successful award recipients will be made in our next ISANA NZ News and on social media.

​ISANA NZ Professionalisation Award 2020

The most common definition of Professionalism is a social process by which any trade or occupation transforms itself into a true “profession of the highest integrity and competence.” The ISANA NZ Professionalisation Award recognises a practitioner who has exemplified an outstanding professional commitment to their international education work through integrity and competence. The Award will be given to a person demonstrating an innate sense of morality and ethics, as well as a desire to continue to learn and improve. They will have an unwavering commitment to a role in an international student department.

ISANA NZ Award

The ISANA NZ Award is to recognise an individual for quality contribution to international education in New Zealand in any of the following fields: pastoral care/student support, admissions, student exchange/study abroad, teaching, homestay/accommodation, management, etc. The nominee will show resourcefulness and an outstanding commitment to international student welfare.

Tracy Evans Scholarship

The Tracy Evans Scholarship is to be awarded annually to an individual working in New Zealand’s schools international education sector.

The Tracy Evans Scholarship was established in 2013 in recognition of Tracy Evans’ contribution to ISANA NZ.

Tracy made a significant contribution over a number of years to ISANA NZ, including the role of School Sector Rep on the Executive Committee of ISANA NZ. Tracy worked within New Zealand’s international education sector and was on the staff of Macleans College in Auckland at the time of her passing away.

ISANA NZ Conference Scholarships

ISANA NZ frequently offers scholarships to delegates who are attending ISANA conferences. The purpose of these scholarships is to assist scholarship winners financially with the conference costs.

Details about these scholarships and the application process are advertised prior to each conference.

ISANA NZ PD Days Scholarships

ISANA NZ may also offer scholarships for ISANA NZ PD Days. The purpose of these scholarships is to assist scholarship winners financially with the PD Day costs.
